ITINERARY
Upon arrival, enjoy a walk through the beautiful baroque city of Schärding and let yourself be surprised by the famous Siberezeile street. From here you will reach Passau, the city where the three rivers (Danube, Eno and Ilz) meet. Your tour will follow the Danube arriving at the city of Engelhartszell where the only Trappist monastery in Austria is located.
You will pass through the Donauleiten nature reserve towards the historic city of Linz, with its wide range of bars and restaurants.
Halfway through the trip is the valley of the strudengau, a part of the river once greatly feared by sailors who fought here against its strong currents. It is now one of the most pleasant parts of the route for cycling. When you stop in the city of Melk Abbey, don't forget to look up so as not to miss its impressive monastery that overlooks the Danube.
In addition to cities with culture and natural environments, the route also offers a great gastronomic variety. The famous Grüner Veltliner vineyards in the Wachau region will make you curious to try their white wine. We invite you to a tasting, so you don't leave without tasting it!
The final destination is the city of Vienna, where you can choose to arrive by bicycle or train, depending on your itinerary. City of classical music, baroque architecture and great names of the 20th century such as the artist Klimt or Sigmund Freud. Once the heart of the great Austro-Hungarian Empire, the city still exudes nobility. Visit its museums, enjoy a concert at St. Stephen's Cathedral or get lost in the impressive Schönbrunn Palace.
