Salto del Gitano, Portilla del Tietar, Monfragüe Castle, Villareal de San Carlos, all these names are part of the cultural heritage of any bird fan in Spain and in much of Europe. Monfragüe is many things, but especially it is a sanctuary for birds. We suggest you explore this privileged area of Extremadura by bike, routes to enjoy cycling in the middle of winter, in an area with overflowing nature.
The only National Park of Extremadura offers us attractive landscapes, rich gastronomy and spectacular accommodation where we can rest after our routes. We will pedal between mountains and pastures of holm oaks and cork oaks, we will look out at viewpoints and the banks of rivers and streams and we will have the opportunity to enjoy the majestic flight of the large birds of prey.
We will be comfortably installed in the Hospedería**** Monfragüe Park in Torrejón el Rubio where we also have Sunday lunch reserved to return to our hotel to shower and change before eating and traveling back to Madrid.
