Bike trip through the Hurdes
For decades, Las Hurdes has carried an image of an isolated and poor territory.
Luis Buñuel filmed his documentary in Las Hurdes Land without bread of only 33 minutes, between April 23 and May 22, 1933, which offered a terrible image of the region. It was a social critique that could have been filmed at the same time in many other areas of rural Spain.
Today Las Hurdes is a natural paradise, a region recognized for its waterfalls, its viewpoints, where the Mirador del Melero stands out, one of the must-sees of our trip, and it is undoubtedly a region that stands out for its rich ethnography, traditional folklore that treasures legends, crafts and gastronomy,
That gastronomy that will be one of the delights of the trip: cheeses, honey and artisanal sausages. Local, proximity product as we like to enjoy whenever possible.
Accommodations
