Bike trip along the Val de Zafán Greenway

On Almudena Bridge we propose a bike trip along the Val de Zafán Greenway from Alcañiz to the Ebro Delta.

A great itinerary starting from maestrazgo to reach the Ebro river valley to Tortoise, and from there to Delta of the Ebro. We will complete this entire route by joining three greenways with different names, but all the result of the same railway project, very ambitious for its time, connecting La Puebla de Hijar in Teruel with the Port of San Carlos de la Rápita. The different recovery projects were opening the Greenways of the Val de Zafán, of Terra Alta and Baix Ebre. For us, today, they are a single route that takes us from the interior to the Mediterranean.

During the tour we will be able to enjoy the historical heritage of some municipalities, the landscapes of the Maestrazgo, the river Matarraña and incredible views of the Ports of Beceite while we pedal comfortably along the Greenway. Upon entering the province of Tarragona we will cross the mountains of Pandols and  horses (through several tunnels, it is It is advisable to bring a headlamp or headlamp) and we will enjoy the river Gutters that gives life to a beautiful landscape, and a very special place still awaits us, La Fontcalda, with its thermal spring. If you want to take a bath, don't forget to bring your swimsuit.

In a clear descent we will reach the Ebro, which offers us very good views, and next to the great river we will reach Tortosa, for us, the gateway to the Delta, our end of the route.
