From Innsbruck to Salzburg by bike: an easy trip through dreamlike mountains
Bike route through Austria following the Inn River
If you've ever dreamed of pedaling through the Alps without breaking your back, this is the bike for you. Innsbruck to Salzburg is just what you need. A trip where you don't have to climb so many hills but where the landscapes leave you speechless. We continue with our Alpine proposals for everyone, everyone.
Innsbruck: where the adventure begins
The starting point is Innsbruck, a city that smells of history and imposing mountains. Here, between Palaces and churches that seem straight out of a fairy tale, the adventure begins.
From here the route follows the Inn River Valley, with its waters shining in the sun and surrounded by picture-postcard mountains. Along the way, you will come across charming places, such as:
Volders and Friedberg Castle
A medieval jewel that watches over the valley from above, perfect for a stop with history.
Swarovski Crystal Worlds
A magical experience between brilliant sculptures and reflections that seem from another planet.
Heading to the Hohe Tauern National Park
The route advances through cycle paths until entering into the Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest in Austria. Here nature rules:
- Glaciers and mountain lakes that reflect the sky like natural mirrors.
- Impressive waterfalls like the famous ones Krimml, one of the highest in Europe.
- Centuries-old alpine shelters, where time seems to have stopped.
A movie-like setting that we can explore at our leisure, enjoying every twist and turn along the way.
Salzburg: a journey's end with a soundtrack
The journey culminates in Salzburg, the city of Mozart. Here, cobbled streets, the majestic fortress and historic cafés invite you to linger. a couple more days.
Because, let's be honest... after so much beauty, don't you feel like more? Some of us continue our route with another of our Alps for everyone proposals, Salzburg-Grado, from the Austrian mountains to the Italian Mediterranean.
