It has been a fantastic few days of cycling vacation around Bilbao, the weather has treated us very well, the two strong storms that have hit us already caught us on the bus. The Green Way of the Montes de Hierro offers a very entertaining tour and comfortable access to the sea as well as allowing a visit to the Mining Museum of the Basque Country in Gallarta and the small Piquillo Greenway offers spectacular scenery. The museum is also free for people who arrive by bicycle, a new example that the use of bicycles can be encouraged in multiple ways. But we have enjoyed many more things. Beaches like Sopelana, La Arena, Pobeña... a guided tour of Bilbao, the pintxos, Lekeitio and that fun and super entertaining tour for MTB routes from the Ea River road.
