El Grassy Building  It is located at number 1 of the Gran Vía. It was one of the first to be built on the first section of the Gran Vía. It has been known by this name since the installation of the Grassy jewelry, by the watchmaker Alejandro Grassy, ​​on the ground floor. The place is magnificently decorated with Italian stuccos, frescoes and terrazzo floors, luxury and opulence in a space that has a clock museum with pieces from five centuries ago.

Built according to the architect's project Eladio Laredo and Carranza in 1915, for Luis Ocharán Mazas to house luxury homes, it is an excellent example of ecleptic architecture, dividing the passage between Caballero de Gracia street and Gran Vía. It is made up of two independent houses located on a narrow plot and finished in pronounced vertex, both joined by a vestibule located on the ground floor. Just one floor above, a group of drag queens liven up Madrid nights in the restaurant Gluttony Gluttony, a contrast of environments, clients and staging.

In 1981 the Grassy Building was the protagonist of a canvas by the brilliant Antonio López, in his painting titled The Gran Vía. Without a doubt it is one of the most recognizable images of Madrid.
