Cáceres is one of our World Heritage cities and is home to a privileged monumental complex unique in Spain and Europe. The walled enclosure contains the most important set of civil and religious architecture of the Spanish Renaissance. Furthermore, it is preserved almost intact. A large part of the civil and religious buildings that make up the old town of Cáceres date from the end of the 14th century and the reforms and extensions carried out during the 15th and 16th centuries.

A city that is a real luxury, but we all already know that, right? What many fewer people know is that Cáceres is also the largest municipality in Spain, more than 1.750 square kilometers, almost as big as the entire province of Guipúzcoa!! And that in Extremadura gives rise to many interesting wonders: the Salor River, oak pastures and livestock trails with all their associated natural and cultural heritage. Storks and megalithic remains. And in the immediate vicinity, an unexpected surprise, the Barruecos Natural Monument, a singular, unique landscape. Large masses of granite that have been progressively degraded over millions of years to give rise to globular monolithic forms known as bolos. Sculptures molded by the hand of nature, such as the Mushroom or the Peñas del Tesoro that could well be in any modern art museum in the world.

We can visit all these things by pedaling, enjoying the city and its surroundings in fantastic mini bike vacation.
