XIX Pangea Routes 2026 Digital Photography Contest: submit your best travel photo
They say a journey isn't over until you tell about it.
And, for us, few things tell a story better than a photo: a look, a path, a light that suddenly appeared when turning a corner… that instant that makes you remember why on earth you keep getting on a bike to explore the world.
As every year, we launch our Pangea Routes Digital Photography Contest, open to all who want to share their photos with the Community and have immortalized those moments that deserve to be shared.
Who can take part?
Anyone who has taken a bike trip and has a photograph taken during that trip.
It doesn't matter if it's with a camera, a mobile phone, or if the guy at the bar took it before we left: The important thing is that it conveys what we feel when we travel by bike.
However, no one under 18 years of age can participate.
What type of photos are we looking for?
We're looking for photos that tell a story. They don't have to be perfect: they should evoke emotion.
Can be…
- a path that seemed to have no end,
- a bike leaning against a forgotten wall,
- that smile that appeared on your face after a storm,
- a sunrise that was worth getting up early,
- a group that became like family for a few days…
Ultimately, moments that represent what it means to travel by bicycle.
The photographs must be submitted in high quality digital in JPG format. Any photo that weighs less than 1000 kb is not even sent for enlargement.

Steps to submit your photographs to the Cyclotourist Photography Contest
- Choose your favorite photos
Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 photographs of which they must be the author and/or have the rights to the image.
- Send it by email a: rutapangea@gmail.com
- Include the following in the email:
Personal information:
Full name
Telephone Number
Information about photography:
Photo title
Photo taking date
Place where the photo was taken
Participation is completely free.
Admission period
Reception of photographsFrom December 9, 2025 to February 9, 2026
Jury ruling
The jury's decision, as well as the awards ceremony, will be made public coinciding with the Pangea Routes 2026 Travel Program Launch Party, on February 20, 2026.
Pangea Routes Digital Photography Contest Awards
This year we're once again rewarding travel talent as it deserves. The prizes will be:
- First prize: a trip for two people on the Easter or May Bank Holiday bike route in 2026*.
- Second prize: a place on any weekend trip of the Pangea Routes 2026 program.
- Third award: Pangea Routes cycling package (surprise gift).
*This prize is not redeemable for any other date
Publication of the winning photos
The photos selected by the jury and the winning photos will be published in:
- Our web rutaspangea.com
- Our Social Media
- Our newsletter “See you on the trails”
- They will be publicly presented in 30×40 cm format at our launch party on February 20th.
Always crediting the author of each photograph.
Image usage rights
By participating, you allow us to use the images exclusively for the promotion of the competition and activities related to Rutas Pangea: website, social media and corporate materials.
Authorship will always be respected.
Why do we hold this contest every year?
Because every photo tells a story.
And because we want to celebrate what unites us: the bicycle, the roads, the journeys, and the people who make them possible.
Each edition proves to us that we don't just organize trips... but moments that last forever.

Acceptance of the bases
Participation in the competition implies acceptance of each and every one of its rules and the jury's final decision. The organizers reserve the right to make any necessary modifications to these rules to ensure the smooth running of the competition.
