Description
Renaissance Greenway
We're going to cycle along the route of the railway that was supposed to connect the towns of Baeza (Jaén) and Utiel (Valencia), but which was never completed. Until recently, the Albacete route was known as the Sierra de Alcaraz Green Route in the Albacete section and the Segura Green Route in the Jaén section. Last year, both Provincial Councils reached an agreement to unify the route under a single name: the Renaissance Route, an architectural style well represented in several towns along the route.
Three routes through the foothills of the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura, and Alcaraz mountains and the Albacete plain, with some points of interest such as the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Cortes, the Bicha de Balazote (an Iberian gem), Alcaraz, and La Puerta de Segura.
A landscape that at this time will offer us its best, full of colors and with fantastic views.
