Until 1985, a train known as the Oil Train linked the towns of Jaén and Puentegenil, crossing one of the largest areas of olive groves on the Iberian Peninsula. A few years after the abandonment of the railway service, the Greenway del Aceite (Olive Oil), one of the longest Greenways in Spain. A delicious route that, in addition to the green gold of its famous olive oils, offers us many attractions: beautiful and enormous metal viaducts, castles and watchtowers, old railway stations recovered for new uses, towns of great beauty such as Zuheros de la Sierra and beautiful landscapes. very attractive and that give a special flavor to their wines included in the DO Montilla-Moriles and their cheeses.
