Description
The Ojos Negros Greenway is, at present, the longest recovered Greenway in Spain. From the Teruel town of Ojos Negros, it reaches the Mediterranean Sea in Sagunto, the Roman Saguntum. We will ride a bike for four days the best sections of the Greenway visiting some of its most emblematic enclaves such as Puerto de Escandón, Teruel, Caudiel, Segorbe, Sagunto, comfortably installed in Jérica in the Hotel Rosaleda Doncel next to the Greenway itself.
From Puerto del Escandón we will begin our descent towards the sea, in an area that still keeps many memories and remains of the Battle of Teruel that occurred during the Spanish Civil War. Once we leave the province of Teruel behind, the Alta Palancia welcomes us, an orchard of fruit trees and orchards, which will accompany us to the Mediterranean. For the last day we reserve our return to Puerto de Escandón to this time reach the city of Teruel, the final touch of our bike trip where we can enjoy a bike ride through the city learning about its history and its splendid Mudejar treasures.
