This Easter, discover one of the most authentic corners of northern Portugal by bike. This mountain bike route combines the Atlantic coast of the Costa Verde with the inland valleys of Limia and Valdevez, two areas that preserve the essence of rural Portugal.

Our base of operations: Viana do Castelo

Our accommodation is the Hotel Rali *** in Viana do Castelo, a beautiful historic city nestled on the Lima River.

Cycling routes along the Costa Verde

The Portuguese Costa Verde owes its name to the spectacular combination of the vibrant greens of its Atlantic deciduous forests with the deep blues of the ocean. We'll cycle along coastal paths, wild beaches, and roads that wind through eucalyptus and pine trees, discovering traditional windmills and viewpoints overlooking the Atlantic.

The inland valleys: Limia and Valdevez

We complement the coastal stages with tours through the rural interior of Minho. We will cross the Vez Valley and the Limia Valleywhere we will visit charming villages such as:

• Ponte de Lima: historic village with its emblematic medieval bridge over the Lima River
• Arcos de ValdevezA collection of rural villages considered among the most beautiful in Portugal, with perfectly preserved traditional architecture
