Loire castles, the place where Leonardo Da Vinci chose to live

Imagine cycling through a fairy-tale setting. The Loire Valley, with its majestic castles and picture-postcard landscapes, invites you on a journey where every pedal stroke takes you back in time, straight to the splendour of the Renaissance.

A few years ago we commemorated on another trip the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, the genius who left his mark on the Loire. He lived his last days in the Clos Lucé, designed the amazing Chambord Castle and rests in the chapel of St. Hubert in Amboise. If someone like Leonardo, who could have settled anywhere in the known world, decided to stay here, it must have been for a good reason.

This year we have a new celebration, The Loire à Vélo, the brand that has succeeded in turning the Loire into a world-renowned cycling destination, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. We will celebrate it in the best way: by touring the euroveil 6, cycling along the Loire in stages designed to be enjoyed without rushing, with an average of 60 km daily, combining adventure, relaxation and culture.
