Description and itinerary
A spectacular bicycle tour between three countries: Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
A spectacular bike tour that runs along the Adriatic Sea, straddling three countries: Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. The common denominator is the ancient Republic of Venice, whose thousand-year history encompassed the whole of what was once called the “Gulf of Venice”. So we set off to discover cities that still preserve vestiges of the Serenissima, the traditional name of the ancient Republic of Venice, and to marvel at the countless Venetian miniatures on the other side of the sea.
Not forgetting the gems we will find along the way:
- The Roman colony of Aquileia, an important archaeological site.
- The city of Trieste, between Central Europe and the Mediterranean
- The Euphrasian Basilica of Porec and its mosaics, in Croatia
