This 7-day trip at your leisure by bicycle is a journey with little physical difficultyWith daily stages of little gradient, it is designed for the occasional cyclist who wants to enjoy the green landscapes of the north.
Our proposal is a journey that begins in Pamplona, right on the Camino de Santiago, a communications hub for centuries, a city of passage and welcome, a walled and green city. Above all, lively: cultural life, local commerce, bars, bookstores, bicycle shops...
On this route you will travel the EuroVelo 1 route, a huge itinerary that links the North Cape with the Iberian Peninsula, crosses the whole of Spain, the Portuguese Algarve and is on the way to Santiago and Fisterra.
Following this EuroVelo 1 you will travel along the Plazaola and Bidasoa Greenways to reach the Cantabrian Sea, and you will also travel a few kilometres on the French side of the border, along the Bidasoa River, to finish in Hondarribia. An itinerary that has been consolidated thanks to the Ederbidea project.
Along the route, culture, gastronomy, railway heritage, beech forests, riverside forests, legendary settings, books and films, such as the Baztán valley, its Bertiz and Elizondo estate, sea and beaches, with Hendaya and Hondarribia as the icing on the cake.
An easy route, with 3 climbs spread throughout the course, high points that will allow you to enjoy beautiful landscapes and burn off the calories provided by good local food. An itinerary for those who like to enjoy cycling without rushing, with short stages and plenty to see every day in the towns where you will stay.
There will be no shortage of stops: at the Bikain cheese factory, at the Arkupe pastry and chocolate shop and at some bars that the locals would prefer you not to know about.
