It is aimed at people like you, who want to learn how to keep their bicycle in good condition and want to solve the most frequent mechanical problems of a bicycle, also on the road.

Description

Objective

Our main objective is that after the course you will be able to repair the most frequent breakdowns of your bicycle and be able to adjust and maintain all the main elements to extend and improve its useful life.

Methodology

The session is totally practical. Equipped with several workshop stands, the teacher will give us general and specific instructions to put his teachings into practice, whether on your bicycle or on one of ours.

If you want to continue advancing in bicycle mechanics, we recommend our advanced mechanics course. Now you can do both in the same day.

Material

You can go with your hands in your pockets, although the ideal is to bring your own bicycle. Here you learn by doing. Bring comfortable clothes that you can stain without a problem. Our location is located in the Pirámides area, next to the Madrid Río. Here you can see where we are located.

As it is within the M-30 ring road, the whole area is regulated and paid parking. At Rutas Pangea we will always recommend that you come by bike, but if this is not possible, it is better to come by public transport or BICIMAD. In your car, as well as being less sustainable, it will not be easy for you to park.

Teachers

Teachers are usually Antonio Steel I Agustín Rodríguez bicycle mechanics at Rutas Pangea and with a lot of experience in solving mechanical problems on the road.

Content

Wheels (fixing punctures and centering wheels).
Transmission (chain repairs, maintenance and cleaning of chain, sprockets and plates).
Brake adjustment and placement of brake shoes and pads.
Shift and derailleur adjustment.
Wiring replacement.
Position and adjustment of the moving parts of the bicycle.
