THE DANUBE BY BICYCLE: FROM TURNU MAGURELE TO CONSTANZA

Week 6. From August 24 to September 1

Bucharest -Turnu Măgurele - Constanta

"The Danube is the origin of a Europe, of the meeting along the river of great currents that can help us conceive an existence above national identities". The words of Skinny They praise this "river-road" link and border between so many peoples throughout history.

We flew to Bucharest and from there we arrived at Turnu Magurele next to the great Danube River. It is the last week before the great river pays tribute to the Black Sea after having watered almost 3000 kilometers of Europe with life.

We will spend the week crossing the border between Romania and Bulgaria. The cherry on top of this week's trip, but really of the entire trip, is the mouth of the Danube. A fabulous delta, spectacular. Declared a Biosphere Reserve for its natural wealth, a biodiversity that makes this area one of the most important natural areas in this part of Europe. Without a doubt, an end of our bike travel unforgettable.

Our route is part of the euroveil 6, that we will pedal this summer also on the section that runs through the Castles of the Loire River in France.

Distance: 383 Km.

Cumulative Ascension: 1720 metres.
