We are in the first program of 2018, so happy new year and many good routes and bike trips for this coming year. This weekend we will celebrate the Three Wise Men and we will leave Christmas behind and from here we want to make our particular letter to the Kings, with only three wishes that are not a plan to overwhelm their majesties, who must be the hardest working kings in the world. Don't keep asking us to become republicans any day:

Our first wish has to do with safety on the road, we would love for 2018 to be the first year of many in which we do not have to regret deaths of cyclists on the road.

My second wish is to finally be able to enjoy the hiking routes in Spain. Eurovelo and that these routes serve to recognize something that many of us already know, that we have a fantastic country to travel by bicycle, for landscapes, climate, culture, gastronomy and most importantly, for the people who inhabit our rural environments and who have allowed that all that material and intangible heritage reaches us.

And my third wish has to do with our trains, please your majesties, take those responsible for Renfe on a train trip through Europe, so they can see how the bikes travel on the trains of Holland, Denmark, Germany... paraphrasing Unamuno, " Myopia towards the bike is cured by traveling.” By the way, just in case this is not enough, you can also Sign here in the campaign to ask RENFE as users.

And let's go with the contents of today's program. We are going south to the province of Cádiz to explore the Alcornocales Natural Park with Luis de runbaik. In the studio we are accompanied by David Barrionuevo from Ruedas Cuadradas, a cycle traveler with many kilometers and many stories to tell and we will end with another cycle traveler, Gonzalo Sanz Godson, who decided move from London to Madrid, and he did it by bike.

Before leaving for Cádiz, I would like to announce that next Thursday, January 11, at the Rutas Pangea location you will have the opportunity to attend a presentation by David Barrionuevo with the title How to prepare a long-distance trip, by bike, of course.

Greetings traveler.

These are the contents of the latest program:

05:00 –Luis de runbaik tells us about the possibilities that the Alcornocales Natural Park offers for bicycle tourism, forests, mountains, towns with a lot of heritage, gastronomy, the Los Alcornocales BTT Center, with all the services and above all an incredible landscape, with many spectacular viewpoints of the strait and Africa.
17:10 – David Barrionuevo He cannot stand still, we have known this for a long time and we were able to verify it when he visited us in the studio. He doesn't stop still and pedals, he cycles kilometers, thousands of them throughout Asia, but he has also created a t-shirt brand, MILAN, he collaborates in many media in Spain and China and also many of his trips raise funds for charity purposes. As if that were not enough, he tells us about it on his blog Square Wheels.
45: 40 - Gonzalo Sanz Godson He defines himself as a Digital Nomad and has made travel his way of life. We talked to him about two great bike trips, a London-Paris-Madrid and the Danube River from its source to the mouth of the Black Sea in Romania.
