UNIBIKE 2015, the second edition of UNIBIKE, has reaffirmed itself as the great event for the bicycle sector in Spain and has already become an essential event for professionals. Attendance has increased by 55% in relation to the 2014 call. Of the 33.860 visitors, 6.367 have been industry professionals, which consolidates the International Bicycle Fair as the best showcase, not only for brands to present their new products and designs, but also for a sector that expands beyond the bicycles themselves and houses clothing, accessories and specialized services.

Unibike 2015, organized by Ifema y Ambe, was held from September 18 to 20 in Madrid, had 231 exhibitors, a growth of 6% compared to the previous edition, and more than 500 bicycle brands with an occupation of 28.000 square meters.

Very important has been the creation of the Bicycle Tourism area, a demand from the sector and one of the attractions of the fair, where visitors have been able to learn about the bicycle route proposals of Estremadura, Madrid, Euskadi, Galicia, Catalonia, Andalusia and other regions. Very relevant has been the participation of many companies in the sector that showed their offer and bicycle tourism product.

Outstanding for Region of Madrid y Turespaña to ensure that, as a complement to the space of bicycle tourism a workshop has been developed, a hiring table, in which the exhibitors were able to meet with 9 tour operators from 4 European countries (Germany, United Kingdom, Italy and Holland) who came especially to Unibike and were able to meet previously in a family trip the possibilities of Madrid as a destination for bicycle tourism. A success for this new initiative that allows us to hope that it will be consolidated as a permanent area of ​​UNIBIKE as is already the case in the other major European bicycle fairs. From Pangea Routes y Greenways We collaborate in the dissemination of the area of ​​Bicycle Tourism and in the organization of a Professional Conference on Bicycle Tourism with a varied program of presentations.

Unibike 2015 received professionals and the public from all regions of Spain, with a large influx from Madrid, host city of the event, also from Andalusia, Valencia, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla y León and Catalonia.

International participants also grew by 51%, highlighting those from Portugal –58% more than the previous year-, Italy, France and Andorra, as well as those from Latin America such as Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico and Venezuela, and from other places such as the United States, Finland, Hong Kong, Russia and Sweden.

The next edition of UNIBIKE is already scheduled, it will be from September 16 to 18, 2016. We will be there.
