Spain has one of the best cycling routes in Europe in the making. Completing it is a priority. Rutas Pangea participated in the 1st Technical Conference of the Santander-Mediterranean Greenway, and this is what we saw.
The Experiencias Turismo España program has recognized the Vías Verdes (Greenways) as a second chance for regions that once missed their opportunity. Its commitment to cycle tourism demonstrates that, with good ideas and public support, these regions can get back on track. Experimenta Vías Verdes is proof of that.

Since 1993, the Natural Paths Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has been reusing transport infrastructure of all types, many of which had fallen into disuse, providing access to nature and rural areas. The main objective is to energize these spaces, contributing to the socioeconomic development of the local population and facilitating the enjoyment and knowledge of our wonderful nature.
MAY 28.This Thursday we are going to chat with those who make the routes, we are all clear that the route network is the basic axis of the cycling tourism proposals, also key aspects such as the need for maintenance, the importance of a route management entity that boosts the territory, that sets the tone of the communication of those routes, that chooses the recipients and the channels to reach them.
