JUNE 7TH. Laura Martínez Calderón has been traveling the world for 20 years, the last 10 by bicycle. Laura has captured her experience in a very personal book, she tells us how she began her bicycle trip, first traveling through Asia, changing plans during the trip and entering Africa. A fresh look that perfectly reflects what her journey has been like with difficult moments but with many more moments of happiness, of sharing along the way.
28TH MARCH. Our friend Raymón Virumbrales visits us on Thursday, March 28 to present his book Llévame de Viaje and talk about his philosophy of travel and life.
FEBRUARY 17TH. We have been lucky enough to be able to organize a very special meeting at Rutas Pangea, Anina anyway and Bikecanine will come to visit us to present their book North Cape Expedition, a delight in which they tell of their bicycle trip from Gijón to the North Cape.
This week on Viajando Despacos, we've prepared several different topics. We were lucky enough to meet Maty Amaya in Madrid, an Argentinian cyclist who has been cycling for five years and who shared a pleasant chat with us. We also received a visit from Josetxo of Un pájaro sin nido (A Bird Without a Nest). We had been very worried about his health after he contracted malaria, which took a turn for the worse. He and Gorka had to cut short their trip through Africa and have returned to Spain. Their story has motivated us to revisit a book we had read and wanted to share with you. It's by Kazimierz Nowak, who traveled through Africa between 1931 and 1936. How his work has reached us is a story in itself, as is the story of Kapuscinski, whom we can now learn a little more about thanks to a film showing in Spanish cinemas, Another Day of Life. The book is titled "On Foot and by Bicycle Through the Black Continent," published by Ediciones del Viento.
OCTOBER 27TH. We want to invite you to share a very special event, two friends, whom many of you also know, Lía and José, have embarked on an exciting project, they have created a publishing house, Ediciones Menguantes.
