DECEMBER BRIDGE - FROM DECEMBER 6 TO 9

In December 1993 we organized our first bicycle trip to Cabo de Gata. We were a group of young people, in love with bicycles, who had been pedaling for a few months in a project we had called Pangea. Cabo de Gata at that time was quite similar to what Juan Goytisolo had told us about in his Nijar Fields, secluded, lonely, with few services, but beautiful. Since then we have returned many times to Cabo de Gata and we wanted to return on this December Long Weekend, 25 years later. A way to close a circle in this project called Pangea Routes, in which we are lucky to have you join us. We are not so young anymore, but we are still just as in love with bikes and traveling, we have learned a lot in these 25 years on the move and we want to continue traveling. Cabo de Gata has changed, the services have improved and it is now a much better known place. But it is still one of the few paradises we have left in the Mediterranean, with landscapes that captivate and roads full of stories to tell: gold mines, blood weddings, western and Roman films, beaches and salt flats, lighthouses and watchtowers... An ideal place to escape the cold of winter for a few days, to do what we like most, pedaling, enjoying the bike and nature, in good company.
