El Goyanes Capdevila palace, was owned by the famous doctor José Goyanes Capdevila, born in Monforte de Lemos, Lugo. He designed the building in 1919, the architect Antonio Vazquez Figueroa, in regionalist style. The work was carried out in the 1920s. It is located at Príncipe de Vergara number 88.
It later became the headquarters of the most active film studios during the Republic and the immediate post-war period, the studios Roptence. Important part of the history of Madrid of Cinema. The production company owned by José María Escriñá He established his offices and sets in the palace. The studios were inaugurated on June 27, 1935, the adaptation works were carried out by the architect Jose Sanz. The studios went bankrupt and on July 9, 1950, Roptence closed its doors. It sold part of its facilities and rented its laboratories to Madrid Films, in 1956 it closed definitively.
Today the palace is the national headquarters of the Teresian order.
