Located on the corner of Glorieta de Rubén Darío number 4 and Eduardo Dato street number 16, we find the mansion built in 1919 for Miguel Maura Gamazo.
The building responds to the taste of the time with two entrances, one for the gentlemen and the other for the service and an entrance for carriages. The mansion has had various uses; private home, religious institution, headquarters of the Red Cross and the successive adaptations distorted its initial design.
In 1996, the building was acquired by the Pons group of companies to establish its headquarters in Madrid. From 1997 to 1999, remodeling works were carried out, which returned the palace to its architectural coherence. The rehabilitation was directed by the architects Manuel García Tages y Manuel Martínez Piqueras, receiving a mention in the building rehabilitation section, in the Urban Planning and Architecture awards organized by the Madrid City Council.
A abrazo.
