We introduce you to Nico Merino, 30-year-old Asturian. 3 years ago he embarked on a bike trip I was trying to get from my house in Gijón to an orphanage they were building in Tala-Kenya. He left with two objectives, the first to enjoy the trip and live an unforgettable experience, to know cultures, black Africa, the second to raise enough money to finish the orphanage.
After 9 months of traveling through Africa, passing through 13 countries, overcoming the different bumps along the way, he managed to reach Tala and meet his two goals, raising even more than expected. Today 85 children live in that orphanage.
He himself tells us that he has thousands of memories to tell and that he already has the urge to travel by bicycle again. His next trip is to Asia.
Nico will tell us about all this in his presentation in Pangea Routes el March 5. from 19:00 p.m.
If you want to come by bike, no problem, here we have space to leave them for the duration of the presentation. There is also a bike rack almost in front of the door - If you prefer BICIMAD we are close to stations 162, 169 and 174. You can come by Metro or Cercanías, in both cases Pirámides station.
