This route takes you on two wheels through the Loire Valley, also known as the 'Country of Castles' or the 'Garden of France'. The protagonist of this area is the Loire River, the longest river in France and the cause of a very favorable climate in the region. With average temperatures of 16-20ºC in summer and landscapes of fresh, green forests, it is undoubtedly one of the most popular areas of France to discover by bicycle.
The area stands out for its famous châteaux – castles. Although having their origins in the Middle Ages, almost all of them were built or restored during the French Renaissance, when at the french royalty He liked to come to the area to rest and enjoy.

ITINERARY
From Blois the road will take you towards Amboise, with its famous castle where Leonardo la Vinci spent his last years. Then don't miss the Château de Chenonceau, or the 'ladies' castle', located in the middle of the Cher River (a tributary of the Loire) and perhaps the most photogenic of all. Take advantage of the moment to see it from the water: here we can offer you the possibility of leaving your bike aside for a moment and enjoying the river in a kayak.
Keep pedaling along the river bank until Montchard and the vineyards of Touraine. Did you know that the Loire Valley is one of the most important French wine regions? Most of its production is white wine, such as Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre and Muscadet.
The last section of the route, before returning to Blois, you will pass by the Château de Chambord, a true masterpiece of the French Renaissance with its 440 rooms, built during the reign of Francis I of France.
All in all, this trip is very light and pleasant, letting you discover one of the most popular areas of France at your leisure by bicycle.
