The bookstore that concerns us today, Antonio Machado bookstore It was founded in 1971. Since then it has been gaining a place in the cultural panorama of Madrid, through determination and work, a special place. Originally this location housed a hat shop. Since its birth it has been a meeting place, where concerts, exhibitions and also many rallies, colloquiums and book presentations were held. After Franco's death, the management sold the business and sold it in 1975 to José Miguel García Sánchez, publisher, bookseller and distributor.
