This trip of 9 days offers you a magnificent holiday cycling the French Atlantic coast from Bordeaux to Biarritz. With daily stages from 32 to 66 km, The itinerary is light and pleasant, perfect for the occasional cyclist.

ITINERARY
Pedaling by Bordeaux vineyards You can't leave without having tasted a wine or two at one of its numerous wineries. Perhaps the most famous of all is the Chateaux Margaux, a winery with more than five centuries of history.

By changing the vineyard for pine, you will be entering the Landes forest, the largest forest massif in Western Europe, measuring more than one million hectares. The plantation of maritime pine in this region has its origins in the times of Napoleon in the 18th century.

Pedaling along the coast between soft dune landscapes, you will arrive at Arcachon Bay where many oyster farmers have opened their huts for a tasting of oysters, whelks and shrimps. Once in the Cape Ferret Get on the boat that takes you to the city where a good hotel near the beach awaits you.

On the way from Arcachon to Biscarrosse you can stop for a moment to climb the highest dune in the region: the Dune of Pilat. Walk up it and enjoy its views over the ocean.

During the following stages the route alternates between coast and inland, passing through Mimizan and Capbreton until reaching the final destination: Biarritz*. Take the days easy and bathe where you can. Stop at the beach bars along the way and enjoy beach life. I'm sure this beer tastes better after a day pedaling!

*If you want you can add one more stage to get to Hendaye, the heart of the French Basque Country, and spend the night there. Keep in mind that this stage is a little more demanding. Contact us for more information.
