The temple burned in 1832 and was restored by Repullés, which had to propose a new façade.

In the civil war the temple was burned again, causing many altarpieces to be lost. During the war, the church was used as a food warehouse, and a good part of the images were saved thanks to the fact that the parishioners kept them in their homes.

First in 1952, and later in 1992, the temple was restored and in 1996 the paintings in the apse and pendentives were restored. The last intervention was in 1999, when the façade was revoked.

A very simple church, in the heart of Malasaña. With a relaxed atmosphere, very much like a neighborhood church. Inside, the neoclassical style altarpiece stands out, framed with two gigantic Corinthian columns.
