MEDITERRANEAN ROUTE ON A RECENT BIKE.

From Narbonne to Girona. Cycle tourism through Europe.

We propose a bucolic route under the sign of water: The entire route runs along the shores of the Mediterranean, and in the French part between the sea and the “Roussillon” ponds. Sun and water will accompany you throughout the 6 stages of this 290 km route that is part of the European EuroVelo 8 route, also following the ancient Roman roads, Via Domitia and Via Augusta.

Un cycling trip ideal for discovering the recumbent bike, its relaxed position and its panoramic view, a bike that immerses you in nature. Let yourself be surprised by the variety of gastronomy, wines and typical townsbetween Narbonne and Girona. The route includes two wine tastings, The visit  of theAiguamolls of Empordà and ruins of Empúries.

A route of 6 stages with little gradient, first following the “Coted'Améthyste” in France (Languedoc-Roussillon) and then the Costa Brava, the highest point (altitude 370 m) is located shortly before crossing the border at Coll de Panissars .

Now Narbona and Girona are connected with the AVE, which allows easy access to the start and end of the route.

An easy itinerary, the stages range from 30 for the shortest to 65 for the longest day. With hardly any unevenness and a good surface throughout the entire route. Roads, dirt tracks and Greenway to enjoy some cycling vacation.
