A summer holiday classic and an unforgettable bike trip. From the Spree metropolis to Denmark's Little Mermaid, you will be riding along one of Europe's best bike itineraries, part of the Euro Velo long distance cycling network.

Hop on your (rental)bike and cross the north of Germany with its shimmering lake scenery and fresh, green countryside. Make your way through natural parks into wide horizons and overnight in some of the most authentic towns and villages.

On this magnificent 11-day self-guided cycling vacation you won't have to worry about anything but riding your bike and enjoying. Accommodation, luggage transfers, GPS tracks for the right route, we have taken care of it all. With daily stages of 35 to 80 kilometers (or even a 100 if you dare!) it is the perfect trip for the regular cyclist.

ITINERARY
Before take-off make sure you don't miss out on the city of Berlin, famous for its lively art scene and young vibe. Stroll between galleries and museums, or get lost in its vibrant night life.

Visit the Brandenburg gate or the Wall that once divided the country in two and now remains but a symbol of the Cold War.

At 35km and easily reachable by train from the center of Berlin, you will find the town of Oranienburg. This is the start of your cycling holidays.

Heading north you will find yourself entering the Mecklenburg Lake District with its legendary Great Stechlin Lake. Ride further on to the Müritz National Park and the extended forests of Krakow am See. You'll be surprised by the great variety of natural and cultural sites you'll encounter on the way.

The trip continues in the direction of Rostock, where the ferry is waiting for you to take you to the land of the Danish. A perfect moment to give your muscles (and your bike!) a rest during the 2-hour crossing!

Once in Denmark you'll find yourself cycling over flat and quiet roads, along country houses with their typical Scandinavian architecture. Visit the town of Stubbekøbing or, if the weather allows so, take a dip in the sea at Falster's beach. If you feel more like relaxing than cycling, get on the boat to Bogø (fees not included). Cross the bridge that connects two islands Møn and Zealand or take the train until you arrive in Køge.

The closer you get to Copenhagen the more cyclist you'll see. Road cyclists, commuters, families, school kids... Everyone moves on two wheels in the undisputed cycling capital of the world. It has over 400km connected and well-maintained cycle paths!

Apart from bikes the city has a fresh vibe and many sights to visit. A lovely old port, green parks, the Tivoli gardens, the statue of the little Mermaid. Enter a coffee room and try to find out for yourself what the Danish mean when they talk about hygge… We are sure you'll find it here!
