From Rutas Pangea we join the initiative #Bikesagainstthevirus, launched by other companies such as Todobici and DoYouBike in Valencia and La Ciclería in Zaragoza. Starting Tuesday, April 14, we will put our fleet of urban bicycles available to those who have to work during the State of Alarm, for free.

We already knew that the bicycle is one of the best vehicles (not to mention the best) to make the obligatory trips during these difficult weeks. And not because the State Attorney's Office said it on March 19 or the Minister of Health raised it publicly on April 11, but because as active mobility (improves body and mind in any situation) in addition, it is a vehicle for individual mobility, which is why it contributes enormously to maintaining the necessary social distance to not contribute to spreading the virus.

Thus, starting Tuesday, April 14, anyone who has to work in the health services, cleaning services, supermarket employees and other sectors that are working during the State of Alarm may request a bicycle to make their obligatory trips to work, completely free. A lock is provided along with the bicycle.

CONDITIONS TO ACCESS #BICISCONTRAELVIRUS:

– Interested persons will have to contact Pangea Routes on the phone 659 955 439 or in email pangea@rutaspangea.com.

– You will be asked for a identification document and a credential that shows that you have to travel for work reasons during the State of Alarm.

– We will agree on an appointment with a day and time for the delivery of the bicycle to your place of work, your place of residence…

– You will only have to sign a “free bicycle transfer” contract for the duration of the quarantine and the user will leave €50 as a deposit. It will also be done responsible for the condition of the bicycle for as long as you use it, committing to return it in the same conditions in which it was delivered.

From Rutas Pangea we want to remember that during the State of Alarm, the use of bicycles for recreational or sports purposes is prohibited, not as a means of transportation for mandatory trips., so we only make the fleet of urban bicycles available for the #Biciscontraelvirus campaign, leaving our entire fleet of mountain and sports bicycles outside of this campaign.
