RULES OF THE XII PANGEA ROUTES DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

Theme.
The theme will be free, with the only condition that the photos are related to bicycle trips or hiking routes.

Participants.
The contest is open to anyone, the only requirement is that it be related to both cycling and hiking trips. It is not necessary that these routes have been organized by Rutas Pangea.
Each photograph must carry the information requested and will be sent through the email address: rutapangea@gmail.com

The jury's decision, as well as the awards ceremony, will be made public coinciding with the presentation of the 2018 Rutas Pangea Travel Program, on Friday, February 16.

Showroom

A selection of the photographs received will be exhibited at the location where the PARTY-PRESENTATION of the “Pangea Routes 2018” program will be held, in Madrid, on February 16, 2018.

All exhibited photos can be purchased at a symbolic price. All money raised through this means will be donated to the Geoda Action Foundation, an NGO that works for local development in the Moroccan High Atlas. Acción Geoda will accompany us in the presentation to explain directly how the proceeds will be invested. Please, we don't have to collect a single photo! and we can raise funds for a good cause.

First Prize: a trip for two people for the 2018 Easter route in Sintra, Portugal* valued at €750.
Second Prize: a weekend trip for one person.
Third Prize: a jersey courtesy of the Cycle Tourism Federation.

The prizes correspond to Pangea Routes trips from the 2018 program.

This year we are sponsored by The Bike Shop, Route Books, bike:map y Cassiopeia Editions, so all the prizes will also include a batch of books. La Biciteca and Libros de Ruta are publishers that publish books about cycling, literature about bicycles and bike trips. Bici:map offers us fantastic bike travel guides. Guides for traveling by bicycle made by people who travel by bike. Casiopea is a traveling publishing house, which defines itself as: "A project dedicated to all those adventure lovers who encourage us and infect us with their way of walking through the world.” Besides, the Cycle Tourism Federation gives us the third prize, a jersey for the successful photograph.

Comments

Participation in the contest implies acceptance of each and every one of its rules and the jury's final decision. The organization reserves the possibility of making appropriate modifications to these rules in order to favor the correct development of the contest.

Participation in this contest implies the transfer of the rights to the images for their free use by Rutas Pangea.

Promotional photographs of other companies in the tourism sector are not permitted.
